Family gatherings at home
Drop off spreads so the host actually gets to sit down.
North of the Fraser
About 20 minutes north of our kitchen
Yes. Mission is about 20 minutes north of our Abbotsford kitchen over the Mission Bridge, one of the shortest runs we make, so Middle Eastern and Armenian catering arrives here in close to home condition. Home gatherings, hall events, memorials and office lunches all work. Call with your date and guest count.
A mezze table plus charcoal grilled mains, delivered set up and ready to serve, or collected from our Abbotsford kitchen. Mostly homes and community halls rather than commercial venues, plus the parkland along the river on the south side of the city.
Mission is close. North on Highway 11, across the Mission Bridge, and we are there in about twenty minutes, which puts it among the easiest deliveries we make. Food arrives essentially as fresh as it does in Abbotsford, and that short bridge crossing is the only thing between our oven and your table.
A lot of what we cater in Mission happens in homes and community halls rather than commercial venues. That suits how we cook. A drop off spread lets a family host properly without one person spending the entire day in the kitchen and missing their own event, which is the single most common reason people call us in the first place.
The area also has a strong tradition of larger family gatherings, which is familiar territory for us. Our own Sunday lunches ran the same way: more chairs than planned, more food than strictly necessary, and nobody leaving hungry. Building a spread for that kind of table is not a stretch.
Not on the list is not the same as not possible. Tell us the address when you call and we will be straight about it. The full picture of how we work is on our catering page.
About 20 minutes from our kitchen, one of the shortest runs we make. Short-notice requests are often workable here.
| Detail | For Mission |
|---|---|
| Drive from our Abbotsford kitchen | About 20 minutes, approximately, which makes it one of the two shortest runs we make. |
| Route we take | North on Highway 11 and across the Mission Bridge. Hatzic and Dewdney add a few minutes east. |
| Pickup instead of delivery | Yes, realistic. Twenty minutes each way is a manageable round trip if you would rather collect it. |
| Notice that suits this city | Two to four weeks is comfortable, and short notice is genuinely workable here because the drive is so short. Memorials especially. |
| Event sizes this distance suits | Any size. The distance is short enough that a modest home gathering makes as much sense as a hall full of people. |
| Where Mission events usually happen | Mostly homes and community halls rather than commercial venues, plus the parkland along the river on the south side of the city. |
What we cater here
Mostly these four. Anything built around a shared table works, because a mezze spread scales by adding trays rather than re-planning the menu.
Drop off spreads so the host actually gets to sit down.
Arranged on short notice when a family needs it, without fuss.
Large trays of grilled mains, rice, salads and dips.
Straightforward weekday drop off for teams across Mission.
We deliver it set up and ready to serve, or you collect it from our Abbotsford kitchen at no extra cost. Yes, realistic. Twenty minutes each way is a manageable round trip if you would rather collect it.
Everything on our menu can be ordered as a catering spread: charcoal grilled kabab and shish tawook, toshka, kibbe, rice, tabouli and Armenian salad, warm bread, and dips by the half kilo. If you are still working out quantities, our guide to planning food for 20, 50 or 100 guests does the math with you.
Before you call
Yes, regularly. Mission is about 20 minutes north of our Abbotsford kitchen over the bridge, one of the closest cities we serve, so the food arrives fresh and the logistics are simple. We deliver the spread set up and ready to serve.
Often yes, and we understand these rarely come with much warning. Call us as soon as you know roughly how many people and when. Because Mission is close to our kitchen, we can usually move faster here than we can further west.
Yes, and at twenty minutes each way it is a realistic option. Pickup from our Abbotsford kitchen costs nothing extra and lets you choose exactly when the food leaves us, which suits a hall with its own access rules or a gathering with a soft start time.
It depends on your guest count, how much of the spread is grilled mains versus mezze, and whether you want drop off or more help on the day. We would rather talk it through on the phone than post a number that fits nobody. Call us with your headcount and occasion and we will walk you through it plainly.
These are the pieces that answer the questions Mission customers ask most, written before you spend money rather than after.
